Finding Out I Had Breast Cancer
"Another Survivor’s Story"
By Miranda Sumblin
I began to ride my 2005 Harley Sporster in May, due to my surgery and I am the secretary of our newly formed motorcycle club “Nice & Nasty” which keeps me pretty busy. Each day is a blessing. I never said, “why me” because God does not make mistakes. I am well on my way to recovery and living life to its fullest. I am happy to share my story with others who also have been stricken with this terrible disease. My prayers go out to all of you. Read More

The Evolution of the
Motorcycle Rider...
A sport made popular by such movies as "Easy Rider, Wild One, and On Any Sunday" depicted motorcycle riders as free spirits and rebels.
Today, the face of motorcycle riders has taken on a new look. What was once a past-time dominated by men has finally evolved. Motorcycle riders have often been stereotyped as daredevils and gangs with criminal elements. Not so, according to most motorcycle enthusiasts.
The new era of riders now includes women from all walks of life, backgrounds and professions. Gone are the days of women only riding behind their male counterpart. Many women not only ride but own their own motorcycles. A vast number of them are choosing to ride Harley-Davidson® motorcycles that are customarily ridden by men, such as Softails, Fat Boys, Road Kings and the like.
So, what kind of women ride motorcycles?
Daring, Intelligent, Vivacious & Assertive
Dynamic, Intrepid, Valiant, & Aggressive
Dominating, Independent, Vibrant & Audacious
Divine, Intellectual, Voluptuous & Attractive
No matter what your definition of a DIVA is -- you will always be able to recognize one when you see her!

The Ride For Kids® is a motorcyclist's fund-raising event that is helping to find the cause and cure of pediatric brain tumors. The Ride For Kids® was started in 1984 by Mike Traynor, a newspaper executive and motorcyclist from Atlanta, GA, who had a friend whose child was stricken with a brain tumor.
After watching the tragic deaths of many children, Mike set out to help find the cause and cure of this childhood killer. He solicited the support of the motorcyclists of America in raising the financial donations needed to pay for research in the nation's leading brain tumor research centers.
The first Ride for Kids® event was in Atlanta in 1984. Then he started one in Chicago in 1989 and finally, after leaving his career behind in 1992 to give full-time attention to the disease, he was able to put the program into motion throughout the USA.
