October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Philadelphia Motorcycle Show is "Revved Up for the Cause!" Saturday, October 10th will mark the first annual "Revved" run to the Philadelphia Motorcycle Show, which will be held October 9 - 11 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks. All makes and models of motorcycles and cars are welcome to join the hundreds of riders already committed to promote breast cancer awareness. According to three-time cancer survivor Jan Emanuel-Costley aka "Sunny The Diva", founder and president of ride beneficiary Divas For A Cure (DFAC): "Our mission is simple. Early detection is key to survival. I am living proof. We are simply ordinary women trying to do extraordinary things." NHRA Pro Stock Motorcyclist Peggy Llewellyn will join the ride: "I am honored and excited to participate in this multi-state ride," explains Llewellyn. "It utilizes two of my passions--motorcycles and my community-- to help in the fight against breast cancer and help change the image of women and motorcycling." |
